Anne Johnstone’s “A Dream of Togetherness” is 20 x 16 inch acrylic on board. A muted, abstract composition unfolds in overlapping planes and gestural marks — intimate yet enigmatic. A smoky gray-beige ground sets off soft washes of lavender, mauve, and rose, deepened by indigo and charcoal accents. Occasional bright notes — rusty orange, pink, and cyan — guide the eye.
