Titled "breathing", this painting is part of a series of large-scale paintings done after the events of September 11, 2001, in New York. It is framed in a wooden floating box and measures 154 cm x 122 cm x 4 cm framed.
Béatrice Bescond is a French artist. Mostly influenced by Pavel Filonov, Henri Michaux and François Rouan, and inspired by Gaston Bachelard, Carl Gustav Jung and mythology, she likes to question founding myths and archetypal figures in a joint process of figuration and disfiguration.
