About the Item

A composition of circles, spirals, and repetitive lines that create depth and intensity, evoking a sense of structure within controlled chaos. The painting conveys movement, rhythm, and energy through a dense and dynamic composition supported by a rich and contrasting color palette. The artwork expresses a feeling of joy, vitality, and optimism. Dorit Shalev-Fried, Israeli artist, born in 1965, lives in Kfar Saba. “Painting and art have always been a way of life for me. Throughout history, women artists have faced the challenge of balancing family life with the world of art. When life and art manage to merge harmoniously, they become a single, complete creation. For me, success means that my work touches, moves, and brings joy to others. Color and nature are my main sources of inspiration — the interplay of shades and the beauty of landscapes drive me to create. I often photograph images that catch my eye during walks in the city, or while traveling by the sea, in the desert, or through open fields. These photographs become the starting point and inspiration for new works of art. “My paintings are characterized by dynamic compositions filled with energy and movement - abstract landscapes and nature scenes with figurative, sometimes even naïve elements. My style moves between lyrical and expressive abstraction: the lyrical carries emotional depth and intuition, while the expressive emphasizes raw energy and spontaneous movement.” “In most of my works, I strive to convey a sense of optimism, tranquility, and harmony. As an artist, I draw inspiration from the American Abstract Expressionist movement known as the New York School — artists such as Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, and Mark Rothko.” Exhibitions: 2025 - “Colors Speak” – Solo Exhibition, August 2025 2025 - “Israeli Blend” – Group Exhibition, May 2025 2024 - “Dreams in Color” – Group Exhibition, November 2024 2024 - “Spring” – Group Exhibition, May 2024 2022 - “Ray of Light” – Solo Exhibition, November 2022 2020 - “Landscapes of the Heart” – Solo Exhibition, August 2020 2020 - “Inspiration” – Solo Exhibition, May 2020 2018 - “Blue and White” – Group Exhibition, May 2018
