About the Item

Untitled XXXII, Abstract series (medium size) is a unique oil on free-standing canvas painting by contemporary artist Ferle, dimensions are 100 × 70 cm (39.3 × 27.5 in). The artwork is signed, sold unframed and comes with a certificate of authenticity. This painting is structured around two dominant colors—yellow and black—whose layered gradients and horizontal striations create a compelling sense of depth. Through this restrained chromatic dialogue, the abstract composition draws the viewer into a space where color and rhythm take precedence over representation. Influenced by both Minimalism and Abstract Expressionism, the work encourages an initial search for visual correspondences before inviting the viewer to surrender to the experience itself, guided by the energetic presence that emanates from the canvas. It calls for a suspension of familiar references, allowing one to be fully immersed in the spiritual dimension the painting conveys. This sense of spirituality appears in deliberate tension with the forceful, almost violent gesture involved in the act of painting. As art historian Emmanuel Daydé observes, “In her work, Ferle creates new space—painting openness and passages toward infinity, a form of spirituality emerging from the body itself. She opens a door to another realm, a fourth dimension. When facing her large color paintings, one feels close to the black hole, to physics and to the stars.” Through subtle variations of color, Ferle establishes a deep, harmonious rhythm that invites contemplation and meditation.
