About the Item
Recently I have been overpainting older works and tried out new ways of expressing emotions and feelings. Here I started to play around with colors, enjoying the texture of it, the work with the palette knife and was completely absorbed in what it felt like. "Silver Dreams II" can be seen as just a nightscape with a full moon, sparkling silver light on the night sea or you can see waves coming in under a completely calm night sky, but the painting can also be understood as emotions and feelings breaking in, things can happen in our so far quiet life and break in... life means constant change, we have to deal with it, it can be stormy, it can be wild, it can drown us, it can be quiet or even boring, but it can also contain great beauty. In this mostly monochrome painting the emphasis lies on the light - where there is light, there is hope! You can see the metal pigments sparkle when hit by light. Also, this painting shows a lot of colors in light, but looks quite monochrome with less light. Also, there lots of structures on the painting. See different photos, I tried one photo with flashlight, it shows the metal spaces. Let yourself be surprised about how this painting can change its colors.... just like real landscapes! 80x80x2 cm on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the back. Ready to hang. Sides painted blue, so no frame needed, but looks also great with floating silver frame! Malgosia Kiernozycka was born in Wroclaw, Poland.
