She studied at prestigious institutions such as Mount Allison University, the Art Students League in New York, and Provincetown's Charles Hawthorne School. Meux’s career spanned several decades, during which she became an influential figure in the Western art scene, especially in Boulder, where she was an active member of the Boulder Artists Guild and The Prospectors, a collaborative group of artists inspired by the region’s unique landscapes.
