About the Item
"Copper Vessels" is an evocative piece where rustic vessels take on a symbolic representation of human souls, with the onus on each of us to fill them with meaning and substance. The array of vases, varying in shape and stature, reminds us of the uniqueness of every individual's journey. Amidst a backdrop of darkness, the vibrant roses emerge as the embodiment of experiences, emotions, and memories that we gather and cherish. The contrast between the roses' soft, organic forms and the hard metallic curves of the vases emphasizes the delicate balance of nurturing the spirit within the confines of our earthly existence. The scattered shears and fallen petals on the table subtly suggest that the act of filling our 'vases' is an ongoing process, involving choices, sacrifices, and the natural cycle of growth and decay. This painting is a meditation on the personal and collective responsibility of cultivating a life of beauty and purpose.
This work took part in the exhibition "Beauty in Ukrainian" 2023.
Ukrainian artist Iryna Bondar was born in 1967 in Khmelnytskyi region, Ukraine, and has been living and working in Kyiv for many years. She has a medical and psychological education. In 2020, Iryna began to actively pursue her childhood dream by dedicating herself to artistic practice. Since 2023, she has participated ni local and international exhibitions, where she presents her works. Her works are in private collections in Ukraine.
