"Mosaic of Time" series
This work is about the movement inward. Not an escape from the world, but a fine-tuning to one’s own rhythm. It speaks to the experience of stepping back from external noise in order to truly hear the present: where I want to turn, why I’m heading there, what matters to me right now. It’s a reflection in motion — without a predefined route — but with trust in one’s own feelings and choices.
The forms here are simple: mountains, lines, birds, subtle accents. Each detail is embedded in the living, multilayered background, where the vibration of brushstrokes becomes a reflection of internal motion. Despite the impulsive construction, the composition is balanced. It evokes a state of flow, where structure — flexible but steady — emerges not from control but from presence.
This painting is about inner grounding — not external stability, but the ability to be in harmony with oneself. The “I” here is not egocentrism, but a point of origin. Because to create harmony with others, one must first hear their own voice.
Within the Mosaic of Time series, this work acts as a fragment of self-awareness — a piece that adds stability to the larger pattern of life. Through it, one can sense how essential each facet of experience is to allow the entire mosaic to resonate as a whole.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist born in 1974 in Donetsk. She received education in clothing design. From 1993 to 2021, she successfully worked as a fashion designer,
participating in international exhibitions. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv, and in 2022,
she left fashion to focus on art. Iryna explores beauty through figurative and abstract
forms, offering viewers new perspectives on fragility and anti-fragility. Her clothing
design skills continue to inspire her creative process and contribute to the
development of new ideas in art.
