In this work, the sheep appear as a symbol of simple, almost naive anchors that stay with us regardless of the chaos of the outside world. When reality falls apart into fragments and events lose their logic, it is the most elementary and understandable things that help us preserve our wholeness — if not balance, then at least an inner centeredness.
The “heavenly sheep” exist somewhere between the earth and the sky, between the everyday and a nearly meditative state. They do not try to change the world and do not respond to its drama — they simply are. In this simplicity lies resilience, antifragility, and the ability to endure hard times without losing oneself.
This work continues the exploration of adaptation, repetition, and the human need for stable symbols — a theme running throughout the Mosaic of Time series.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist born in 1974 in Donetsk. She received education in clothing design. From 1993 to 2021, she successfully worked as a fashion designer,
participating in international exhibitions. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv, and in 2022,
she left fashion to focus on art. Iryna explores beauty through figurative and abstract
forms, offering viewers new perspectives on fragility and anti-fragility. Her clothing
design skills continue to inspire her creative process and contribute to the
development of new ideas in art.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist who explores fragility and anti-fragility as key themes
in her work. She transforms complex emotions and challenges into sources of inner
strength, zest for life, and harmony. Her art aims to prompt viewers to reconsider
life`s challenges and find new meanings through their experiences. Iryna``s works
