About the Item

Javier Manrique Starlight, 2024 Acrylic on canvas 36 x 36 inches This is an abstract landscape painting created by Javier Manrique in 2024. This one-of-a-kind painting on canvas is stretched across wooden stretcher bars. A landscape is a reading of the physical characteristics and aesthetics of the geographic space but also of the intellectual and spiritual conditions that it awakens in the viewer. In this abstract landscape, space is stripped of its representational qualities and all its visual components are synthetized into fields of color. Representation becomes secondary, even superfluous. The compositional and chromatic richness - or simplicity - comes first and manifests in the artist's most intimate perception of things. This abstract landscape symbolize a territory but it is a non-specific, non-identifiable one. Geography is materialized in this painting but the landscape also evoke immaterial places and the invisibility of emotions. (Text by Maliyel Beverido, Art Mediator.)

Immaculate Sigh of Stars

Oil on Canvas "The most important thing any art can offer is a bridge to a deeper experience of oneself. The experience of art occurs outside of time —both its making and its effect— despite the necessary parenthesis of its historic moment. This is the framework from which my efforts proceed.” New York City-born painter Adam Shaw’s vivid, intricate paintings which are woven with literary allusions and scientific formulae, provide an impressively accurate snapshot of the artist’s rich and diverse life experience. Shaw’s large paintings bring to life intensely-colored abstract shapes by layering his paintings with words...

Visions in the Night
By Morgan Fite
Located in San Francisco, CA

Artist Comments
From my series called Lessons from Winter, inspired by my process of discovering and embracing the beauty, mystery, and warmth of the coldest and darkest season of the year.

About the Artist
Abstract artist and Tennessee-native Morgan Fite paints delicate compositions that allude to natural forms and changing light. She paints with neutral tones and feathery brushstrokes that give her art its soft and dreamlike quality. She is inspired by her travels and cites the earthy tones of Central Africa and the textures of Roman architecture as particularly influential. For each piece, she begins her process by selecting a color palette from her collection of flowers and rocks. Throughout her portfolio, Morgan strives to make art that invites, moves, and inspires.
