Jay Walker's latest series, "Inner Space," analyzes a single motif built from repeating parallel lines that is commonly found in his work. In this series of 12 paintings on paper, Walker explores how complementary colors push and pull against each other to create shifting forms. In a range of hand-mixed warm or cool reds, greens, and blues, his layered color patterns dance across the surface in designs filled with movement, depth, and energy. This series works particularly well displayed in groups -- each available work is listed separately, but I offer FREE SHIPPING for additional purchases in this series in a combined shipment. Ships flat, unframed.
Walker earned his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia, and his BFA from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi. Jay Walker
Jay Walker is best known for his large-scale, site-specific street art installations and collector's pieces created with laser-cut vinyl, colored acrylic sheets, artist-made stencils, tape, and paint. His use of pattern, lines, color, and geometry references the aesthetic traditions of Sol Lewitt and Henri Matisse, applied to the contemporary experience.
