About the Item
This painting is part of a series entitled, " Medicine Wheel," which is based on Native American Spiritual Medicine and shamanistic traditions. Many of these shields were made for protection or ascension. The Native culture is a vast and profound one, steeped deeply in spiritual practice and ancestral tradition. In this series I have blended colors and abstract formations to emphasize the power of these existing medicine wheels.
