Soften My Edges, Original Contemporary Minimalist Abstract Painting, 2022 30" x 30" x 0.5" (HxWxD) Acrylic on Canvas Hand-signed by the artist in verso. A simple and minimal large format abstract painting by artist KR Moehr, this work modern primarily consists of modulations of white. Additions of a turquoise blue, black, and gray cut through the middle of the composition, acting as a horizon line of sorts. Brush strokes are evident throughout the work, showing an emotive and dynamic energy produced by the painting process. Artist Commentary: Soften My Edges is a modern abstract created with acrylics, mediums on stretched canvas. 30" x 30" Lightweight back-stapled canvas - finished sides in white. Ready to hang or frame (unframed - shown as example only). Signed on the back, COA included. This modern artwork has washed blues and black on a tonal white background. Splashes of vivid white highlight the blues, black/greys. About the Artist: KR Moehr, Tucson, AZ Artist. Originally from Michigan, I spent many happy hours roaming through the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) and marveling at masterpieces and developing a true love for art. I eventually earned a B.A. in Communications and worked in marketing/communications for automotive suppliers in suburban Detroit. Eventually, I moved west to rainy/quirky Portland, OR and lived there for several years during which I first picked up a paintbrush to record a particularly lovely watercolor sunset. It was awful; I was hooked. My life journey took me to my current home in sunny Arizona where I love to try to capture some of the natural desert beauty and amazing sky shows we get. After working to learn and hone my artistic skills, I now paint mostly in the abstract expressionist style and enjoy working with textured art. My media of choice is acrylics or water-based oils.
