About the Item

12"x9" mixed media collage: acrylic, metallic watercolor and papers, ink, collage dressmaking patterns, framed in a black shadowbox frame. Linda Ganjian's artwork captivates with its ornate and symmetrical abstract designs. Through her art, Ganjian explores themes of memory, culture, and spirituality, offering a visual narrative that resonates with both complexity and beauty. Linda Ganjian’s work, comprising collages, patterned landscapes, and wall-based reliefs, embodies a fusion of architectural and sculptural elements, deeply influenced by her Middle Eastern heritage. Her intricate miniature cities serve as symbolic representations of her personal and communal histories. These detailed works reflect the rich tradition of storytelling found in the ornamental designs of oriental rugs and the intricate architectural details of mosques and temples. Through their high level of ornamentation, Ganjian’s pieces convey complex narratives rooted in historical and communal experiences. Linda Ganjian is a NY-based artist who works in a variety of materials, from clay to cement to paper. She grew up in the Boston area and is a second generation Armenian-American. Her main pursuit has involved making large “table-top” sculptures comprised of hundreds of miniature forms, that are a reinterpretation of Middle Eastern and American craft traditions (carpets, quilts, calligraphy). Much of her work presents memories and impressions of the urban landscape, the specific history of a site, or more personal narratives. Her work has been exhibited in New York and abroad. Some exhibition highlights include: Future of Things Passed with Atamian Hovsepian (pop-up @ 138 W 25th) 2022; Jamaica Flux: Workspaces and Windows, JCAL, Jamaica, Queens (2021); Art in Buildings 125 Maiden Lane, NYC (2017-2018); Islip Art Museum, NY (2016); Grandchildren at Depo, Istanbul (2015); Auxiliary Projects (2013); Artspace, New Haven, CT (un(spoken) 2009); National Academy of Design (Invitational 2008); Socrates Sculpture Park (EAF 2007); Queens Museum (Queens International 2006); Storefront for Art and Architecture (Portable 3-person show 2006); eyewash@Boreas Gallery (Urban Designs solo show 2006); the Brooklyn Museum of Art (Open House: Working in Brooklyn 2004); and Stedelijk museum de Lakenhal in Leiden, Holland (2001). She has received grants from: the Queens Council on the Arts (2023, 2021, 2017, 2011); Pollack-Krasner Foundation (2005); Artslink (2001); and fellowships to: MacDowell Colony (2006); and Millay Colony (2004), among others. Her work has been reviewed in The New York Times and Art in America, among other publications. She completed a public art commission for the NYC School Construction Authority in 2014 through the NYC Percent for Art program and the NYC MTA in 2016. In 2019, she was a QCA ArtPort resident at LaGuardia Airport. Her illustrations of Queens landscapes were translated into ceramic tiles for the restrooms of JFK Terminal 8. She received her B.A. from Bard College and her MFA from Hunter College CUNY.

PWW-777 - Eric Mack - Contemporary Abstract Collage Painting Based off the Grid
Located in Signal Mountain, TN
PWW-777 is part of Eric Mack's ongoing body of work utilizing multi-media, complex compositions, and a grid centered around urban design. Using a grid to create the framework of the painting, Mack has utilized Zerox copies adhered by a matte medium to create graphic imagery of electronics from the 90s, small bits of a map of various places in Germany, and vinyl records. Mack paints on top of a torn canvas, and on the edges you can see the frayed, painted canvas mounted to the white backing of the frame. The work is finished with glass that shows minimum reflection as well as a customized 2 inch, white frame. Eric Mack (b.1976, Charleston) creates mathematically based renderings with a distinct post-modern twist. Works are informed with super imposed grids, patterns, and portals. Layered surfaces are created with paint, found objects, natural fibers, and synthetic substrates that explore the systems of our visual world. His most recent show “Charting the Terrain” is on view now at the California African American Museum in Los Angeles was covered by the Los Angeles Times, KCRW, and LALA Magazine. His last solo exhibition was titled "Impossible Architectures" at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017. Recent group shows include "Abstract Mind" at the Czong Institute of Contemporary Art, South Korea, "Small Works 2017 at Trestle Gallery, Brooklyn, "Checkered History", Outpost Artist Resources, Brooklyn, N.Y. 2015; Collections include High Museum Atlanta, Ing Investments, Hartsfield Jackson International Airport - Atlanta + Atlanta Gas & Light Co. Untitled (PPR385) - Original Colorful Vibrant Abstract Mixed Media Art on Paper
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Max Manning is a Houston-based painter whose practice he describes as “algorithmic abstraction”, studio-built systems that he deliberately disrupts to create compositions where loosely figurative fragments, patterns, and color fields collide. Working in series, Manning sets up rule-driven visual frameworks such as grids, repeated motifs, cut-outs, and layered shapes, and then interrupts them through shifts in palette, gesture, and scale. The result is a retro-contemporary language: paintings that acknowledge a world shaped by data and screens while insisting on the tactility, stillness, and breath of paint. • One-of-a-kind abstract artwork on paper measuring 20 x 16 inches • Unframed and signed by the artist on the back • Includes certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery • Convenient local Los Angeles delivery available • Affordable Continental U.S. and international shipping available Across his practice, Manning has maintained a clear studio ethos: to “paint through the questions” of life lived alongside algorithms. Instead of reproducing digital aesthetics, he uses rule sets to destabilize them—allowing glitches, misalignments, and pauses to surface. The work’s visual “systems” act less like predictive code and more like open, humanized structures where attention can rest. This stance has resonated with curators and collectors attuned to abstraction’s current arc: grounded in art-historical form, responsive to contemporary cognition, and committed to the slow time of looking. Manning earned a BFA in Two-Dimensional Studies from Bowling Green State University (2011) and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati (2014). His work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and abroad and gained early institutional and critical attention through selection for the 2017 Texas Biennial, curated by Leslie Moody Castro, with press coverage in Texas arts media. Artspace Warehouse has been representing and exhibiting Max Manning's original artworks since 2025.
