Aqua, white, and purple paints splash across a black background. Part of artist Linda McCord's Night Flight series, the composition explores movement and rhythm to convey the sensation of flying. Using the acrylic pouring technique, Linda developed unique formulas to create large cells and incorporate crackled, three-dimensional effects into the linear elements of the image.

About the Artist
Artist Linda McCord works with most two-dimensional mediums and creates fluid art using transparent layers. Embracing both a methodical and flexible approach, she delves into the scientific aspects of the process, incorporating mathematical concepts rather than emotions. "Composition and color schemes are my primary focus," says Linda. She managed her own gallery for a decade while also imparting her knowledge of painting and printmaking in college classes. Linda's dedication and self-taught journey have led to numerous awards for her work. She diligently spends eight hours a day, five days to six a week, in her spacious and paint-covered studio next to her home. In her spare time, Linda enjoys crafting Nuno felt hats, searching for reference materials, and marketing her creations.
