Artists diaries is an abstract work . I was inspired by some silk screens made many years ago after a trip to Fiji. Brown and white is used in Fiji in the dyeing and weaving of fabrics and baskets . I used this as a starting point and then worked up the canvas with several layers of acrylic and mixed medium to give an impasto look, collage, graffiti spray paint and carborundum were added. All work was made intuitively and subconsciously and in the moment.
