About the Item
In this contemporary abstract painting in watercolor and acrylic on canvas, undulating waves in shades of light blue, pale orange and light green are layered over a soft, luminous pale yellow and white background, investigating the properties of abstract curvilinear forms found in the surrounding environment. This experience is sublimated in a process both primal and analytical in developed paintings that are composed of layered intersecting geometries and invite the viewer to contemplate presence in the fluidity of time. The pressure and buoyancy of the unfolding shape propels each work forward. Signed and titled on verso.
