Based on Solfeggio Frequencies, HZ merges the healing potential of painting with the power of sound.
Following Kandinsky’s musical theory of the abstract artwork, the spiritual quality of a painting is established in its ability to vibrate in the eyes and therefore emits an inaudible sound frequency. With HZ, the rhythmic organization of the iron lines on the black background transmits specific frequencies that vibrate directly with the soul of the observer. A universal silent sound that promotes a return to spiritual order.
Minimal in its aspect, HZ intends to open a gateway in the interiority of the observer. An infinite universe present in each of us which can only be reached in front of the silence of the representation. By impoverish the exterior in order to enrich the interior, the magical power of the unseen is revealed.

When two magnetic energy sources approach each other, they repel, attract and interact. There is a positive -negative geometric logic we can see and manipulate readliy, but we are still in the dark as to how and why it happens at all.

Each painting contains hundreds of hand coloured trapezoid shapes, hand drawn with a sharp blade onto silver or gold leaf. Each coloured shape can be interpreted to represent an ‘atomic’ element. On its own a block of colour is insignificant but seen as part of a whole it becomes dynamic and alive reflecting on how nature works. The phenomena of light is also important to the work. Abounassif's first contact working in the art world was in 2006 when he launched Leiter Gallery in Miami, a short but successful experience as a co-owner working along with Cuban-born, Miami-based artist Sinuhe Vega Leiter, and Venezuelan-born internationalist & journalist, Jesus Rojas Torres.
