About the Item
Matheus is greatly influenced by the city he now calls home -- New York has long been the epicenter of fashion, hip hop, and street art, where he feels his interest in contemporary art, architecture, and interior design has grown exponentially. With this influence, he produced his first solo exhibition and debuted his signature series, Caras e Cores, at Avant Garde Gallery in the Lower East Side, as seen in New York Magazine in late 2014. Global Citizen selected him as the featured artist for their annual charity art show in Soho and he has completed several private commissions around New York and abroad.

One Thousand Front
By Carlos Tirado
Located in Atlanta, GA
Carlos J. Tirado (born on April 3, 1964 in Caracas, Venezuela) is an artist, painter and sculptor who has developed a very personal and precise line of work linked to Neo-Pop art. With plenty of personal art exhibitions, Tirado has participated in numerous collective exhibitions, receiving different awards such as “III Premio de Escultura” del Certamen Aires de Córdoba in 2004 and other recognitions, among them, at the Venezuelan Embassy in DC (2005), and the X Latin Art Festival of Atlanta (2005).
Childhood
Tirado grew up in an upper-middle-class family environment. His inclination for the arts started from an early age. At 8 years old, he was already experimenting with tridimensional forms, creating molds out of cast lead from pieces previously gathered on the streets. These first artistic experiences led by his inquisitive nature, provided the ground to continue exploring the possibilities with different materials like wood, waste and plaster. His childhood games were centered around painting and sculpting, which played an important role that ranged from recreational to aesthetics.
When Tirado turned 12 years of age, his parents agreed for him to attend private art classes with professor Javier Hernandez in Caracas. Later on, he realized that Art was a profession that required investment in materials, reason that led him to work at a furniture store painting landscapes and figurative art to decorate the exhibit room. He created numerous paintings of Caracas’ famous mountain: El Avila...

Son of Sun
By Soren Grau
Located in Los Angeles, CA
With cultural icons and world events acting as inspiration, artist Soren Grau strives to communicate meaning through figures and colors. He paints in a street art-inspired Neo-expressionist style inspired by artists such as Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Grau's work engages the viewer with color and symbolism, inviting each person to unscramble the mystery behind his paintings. He explores social commentary and individuality using bold colors and emotive lines.
This one-of-a-kind 20-inch high by 16-inch wide painting is stretched, wired and ready to hang. The sides of this original mixed-media artwork are painted and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the back. Convenient local Los Angeles area shipping. Affordable Continental U.S. and International shipping also available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Soren Grau is an artist from Denmark who has lived in Los Angeles for the past 12 years. Each of his artworks conveys both personal meaning and ambiguity, to be interpreted differently by each person. His cultural commentary runs parallel to our social consciousness. The pure pleasure of creating is the driving force behind his painting. He believes that art need not be complicated and that art is for everyone.
“Whatever an artist does, they put a piece of their soul into the artwork,” explains Grau. “In that way, you can show who you really are...
