About the Item
This modern interior abstract painting was created by French artist Natalya Mougenot and is part of her latest series exploring the “heart–mind connection.” In this collection, the artist reflects on the delicate balance between emotion and reason, and the harmony we seek in life and relationships.
Balance measures 80 × 60 × 1.5 cm (31.5 × 23.6 × 0.6 in) and is a striking acrylic painting on canvas, featuring bold, dynamic colors—black, blue, red, green, yellow, and orange—arranged in a wild yet structured composition. The interplay of colors and forms draws the eye and creates a vibrant focal point for any space.
A coat of high-gloss varnish enhances the painting’s luminosity while protecting it from dust, humidity, and fading. The sides are painted black, and the artwork is sold unframed and ready to hang, allowing collectors to choose a frame that perfectly complements their interior.
This piece can also be paired with other works from the “heart–mind connection” series to form a diptych or triptych, creating a singular, impactful visual experience.
Every painting is a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted original, signed by the artist and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. Each artwork is carefully packed in a protective cardboard box with bubble wrap and shipped promptly.
Please note: Colors may vary slightly between the actual painting and images due to photography and monitor settings. For any questions, feel free to reach out—I’ll be happy to assist.
About the Artist:
Originally from Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, and now based in Lyon, France, Natalya Mougenot has spent over two decades refining her artistic voice. Her multicultural background and personal experiences inform her bold, expressive works, which have found homes in private collections worldwide.
Natalya’s distinctive visual language blends Abstract Expressionism, Impressionism, Art Naïf, and Art Brut, resulting in paintings that are raw, instinctive, and emotionally resonant. Across her work, three values guide her: authenticity, sincerity, and honesty.
“Authenticity is everything,” she says. “People can always feel when something is real—or when it’s not. I want my work to be honest, to come from a place that’s true.”
In addition to painting, Natalya is a passionate photographer. Her photographic work—also featured on this platform—mirrors her painterly sensibility: a poetic, observational approach that captures the quiet power of everyday life. For her, photography is both inspiration and a form of presence, often serving as visual sketches for future paintings or existing as standalone works.

Natalya is a contemporary artist from Lyon, France. She was born and grew up in Kazakhstan, the country known for its spacious steppes and low mountains. She arrived in France 2003. Since that moment she loves her adoptive country. She started painting in 2017 and used it as a therapeutic and emotional release during times of crisis when she was struggling with radical life changes. She incorporates this therapeutic approach in her artistic creative process till now. Several years ago painting became more than a hobby. It became a way of expressing her emotions and visions, a successive reaction to events of either personal or general concern. Her artist statement: “ I paint as it’s a necessity for my soul to express itself. Being creative for me is overcoming the restrictions. My art is a piece of my soul. I hope my art inspires reflection, provides a release and forms connection at other people’s souls”. She has developed her own vision of art through practicing a lot. She makes use of varying degrees of figuration, abstraction and impressionism by adding a contemporary twist. Abstract art for her is an interesting challenge for understanding inner feelings, a self-expression based on an intuitive approach. In figurative art her main subject remains women. Her artworks representing women contain the raw emotions of women. She also communicates the importance and the power of strong female relationships: “Women are enriched when they bond with each other”. She works in series: among them are "Heart-mind connection" of abstract artworks, "Women", "Bond", "Florals", "Springtime"... She uses various mediums ( acrylic, oil, watercolor, oil pastels) to create her unique artworks either on canvas or on paper. But she mainly uses acrylic as she works very quickly and expressively by finishing her artwork in one sitting. If Natalya had to pick one quote about her art, she would say : " Art is the reflection of the soul". Natalya goes with her gut and intuition to choose the colors, the lines, the shapes and the texture. She hopes her artworks will give a home a unique personality by filling it with life and color. Her sources of inspirations are Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne, Henri Matisse, George-Daniel de Monfreid, Paul Gauguin. She also admires the artworks of Joan Mitchell and Banksy.
