About the Item

Paolo Minoli nasce a Cantù (Como) e si diploma “Maestro d’Arte” nel 1961 presso l’Istituto d’Arte di Cantù, dove insegna dal 1964 al 1978. A partire dagli anni Settanta sviluppa una ricerca centrata su colore, ritmo e costruzione geometrica, partecipando a numerose esposizioni dedicate all’astrazione geometrica e alla pittura analitica. L’opera è composta da due tavole di 50×50 cm ciascuna, realizzate in acrilico su fondo bianco. La struttura compositiva si basa su una rete di linee orizzontali e verticali, organizzate in moduli cromatici che alternano segmenti di diversa lunghezza e intensità. La disposizione incrociata delle campiture genera una griglia ritmica che richiama i principi di serialità e variazione caratteristici del lavoro dell’artista. L’interazione tra direzioni e cromie definisce un percorso visivo articolato, distribuito in modo uniforme sulle due tele e concepito come un’unica unità compositiva. Lo stato di conservazione è ottimo, l’opera presenta delle scritte sul retro con firma, data e titolo dell’opera.

He attended, at a very young age, the home of painter Enrico Sottili and, as a student, the studio of sculptor Gaetano Negri. He graduated "Master of Art" in 1961 from the State Art Institute of Cantù, where he taught from 1964 to 1978. Participated in 1968 in the national exhibition for young painters of the "San Fedele" prize in Milan. In 1969 he was featured in the exhibition "Urban Field.
