About the Item

This new series by Danish artist Peter Kramer (1959, Roskilde, DK) based in Spain shows us a new way of working with natural and exotic elements. In this case, he uses the turmeric root, originally from East India, as a pigment and as an instrument, giving the work an immeasurable uniqueness and authenticity. The works are technically very well executed, with hundreds of lines and geometric shapes that remind us of the square, made with graphite and painted with turmeric. The work is supported by delicate silk papers to which Peter adds a cotton cloth background. The work is presented unframed. Dimensions: 80 x 80 cm. Materials: Graphite, turmeric, silk paper and cotton canvas. For more information, do not hesitate to send us a message. We have more works by the artist in our catalogue. The work belongs to Peter Kramer's solo exhibition "1+1= ∞" at the Manolo Eirin Gallery (16/11/2023 - 16/01/2025) curated by Manuel Tuset.
