Pierre Jourda À Paris, il découvre les librairies, les galeries et les Musées du Louvre et d’Art Moderne où il passe de longues heures à essayer de pénétrer les secrets des grands peintres qu'il admire: Van Gogh, Cézanne, Bonnard, Odilon Redon De Stahel Bonnard et bien sur Fernand Léger qui célébra comme lui le monde ouvrier duquel Pierre provenait.
A la fin de ce brillant cursus, il obtient les deux certificats d'aptitude à l'enseignement du dessin :
1953 1er degré, major de sa promotion avec félicitations du Jury.
1954 2eme degré classé second.
