About the Item
This painting belongs to the series of paintings "Blue." Long before 2022, a process of spiritual transformation took place in my life, in particular, a rethinking of the feminine principle. This expression found embodiment in several works, namely in " Women's mirror".
A mirror for a woman is not just a surface that reflects her face. In a deeper sense, it performs a completely different function—it does not show, but reveals. In the context of this series, where the sun, warmth, and inner light have already become stages of transformation, the mirror acts as a portal between who the woman remembered herself to be and who she has become in the glow of new light.
The mirror as a boundary and as a passage, not to see oneself, but to meet oneself.
An ordinary mirror reflects the external. A female mirror reflects the state of presence. It does not capture an image, but gives birth to a breath. A mirror that does not reflect draws you in. In a mythological sense, the feminine principle is always depth, a source, water. The mirror becomes the surface of water, which you can either be afraid to look into or enter and become part of a new dimension. Reflection as a test of tenderness. In an ordinary mirror, we often see ourselves through criticism. In the mirror of transformation, the image is filled with warmth.
I will first pack this painting in clear film. Then in foam, then in bubble wrap. Finally, it will be packed in sturdy cardboard.
