Waterline Fine Art, Austin, TX is pleased to present the following work: Oil on canvas (diptych). Signed and dated verso. 68.25 x 32.25 in. 69.75 x 33.5. (framed) Custom framed in a maple floater with a polyurethane clear coat finish. Provenance Watson/de Nagy Company, Houston Chase Manhattan Bank, Houston Tom Goldenberg was born in 1948 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, a suburb just south of Chicago. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (BFA, 1970) and moved to New York City in 1973, taking a loft in Soho. His first solo exhibition in New York was at the Sarah Y. Rentschler Gallery in 1978. Since that time, he has shown throughout the United States, with solo shows at the George Billis Gallery, Danese Gallery, Salander-O'Reilly Galleries, City University in New York (CUNY), Hokin Gallery, Watson de Nagy Co., and Swope Gallery, among others. He has also been featured in group exhibitions at the Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art and the Krannert Art Museum. Goldenberg's work belongs to numerous corporate collections, and is in the permanent collections of CUNY, Bucknell University, and the Ringling Museum. Goldenberg is a Professional Fellow at the Morgan Library and has taught at the Art Students League, The New School, and the New York Studio School.
