This is a rumination on lessons and school and how we learn. My thought behind the composition is how we learn. We imprint or reflect our surroundings, within a structure. Like the boy seeing the world reflected within the barriers of the pond. The little boy interacts with words, facts or things within the walls of school; creating a map in his mind of what he learns. School is helping him to understand how Man has characterized and categorized everything.
