André Prévot-Valéri, born in Paris in 1890, died in Granville in 1959, is a painter of the Channel.
He is a pupil of Antoine Guillemet (1843-1918), then of Jules Lefebvre (1834-1911).
He paints many landscapes and scenes from the life of Normandy and Brittany. The Channel is particularly inspiring, especially the banks of Siena, a "Mother and her child in front of the church of Saint-Planchers", the cathedral of Coutances ...
In 1907, he won the Rosa Bonheur Award.
