This striking painting of the Grizzly Bear’s amber brown eye is penetrating, drawing the viewer’s eye to that focal point, wreathed with highly detailed fur and a stark yellow contrast in the lower left corner. This artwork is sure to bring a rustic elegance to any wall display.
Brenda Rentfro (American, b. 1969) a Tucson native, is pulled in by the eyes of the wildlife she paints.“The eyes are the anchor,” says Rentfro. The eyes in her art are the first thing one is drawn to. They are also the first piece that goes on the canvas.
