This work addresses simple things that lie in the basic settings of life. Repetitive, almost unnoticed actions that over time create a sense of support and stability.
The image of the sheep here is a metaphor for this simplicity: it does not change, does not complicate, does not strive for more. It simply remains itself.
In this quietness and predictability, a state is born in which there is no need to prove anything — it is enough to exist.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist born in 1974 in Donetsk. She received education in clothing design. From 1993 to 2021, she successfully worked as a fashion designer,
participating in international exhibitions. In 2014, she moved to Kyiv, and in 2022,
she left fashion to focus on art. Iryna explores beauty through figurative and abstract
forms, offering viewers new perspectives on fragility and anti-fragility. Her clothing
design skills continue to inspire her creative process and contribute to the
development of new ideas in art.
Iryna Rets is a Ukrainian artist who explores fragility and anti-fragility as key themes
in her work. She transforms complex emotions and challenges into sources of inner
strength, zest for life, and harmony. Her art aims to prompt viewers to reconsider
life`s challenges and find new meanings through their experiences. Iryna``s works
create a space for dialogue, helping to see in the world``s fragility opportunities for
growth and harmony.
