"Grévy's Zebra" is an original oil painting on canvas by Peruvian painter Lucre Chura. The artist signed the painting in the lower right. The Grévy's zebra, also known as the imperial zebra, is the largest extant wild equid and the largest and most endangered of the three species of zebra, the other two being the plains zebra and the mountain zebra.

Born in Tacna, Peru in 1971, Lucre is part of a young generation of painters that graduated from the Escuela de Arte Francisco Lazo in Tacna, and emigrated to emigrated to the capital, Lima, in search of fame and fortune. After graduating from the Escuela F. Lazo, Lucre joined the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes and studied there for another 4 years to obtain the title of painter.
