The setting of this extraordinarily realistic, and at the same time surrealistic painting, features a Dalmatian Dog in a fireman's outfit. The title of the painting "Engine 101" refers to the Disney movie "101 Dalmatians"
In this painting you can see the determined face of the Dalmatian thinking of what his next move might be. You can even see the flames reflected in the window of the fire truck.
This original oil on canvas painting measures 20x16" and is framed in a walnut floater frame.
Matthew Grabelsky loves incorporating humor into his work, and he often includes fun easter eggs that relate to the animal being represented. He says that his goal is to give people something to think about and to make them smile and laugh.
