Tapas Das is an Indian contemporary artist from Kolkata. Art is a language through which he communicates his state of mind to his viewers. Simple forms and objects play prominent roles in his paintings, enunciating the simplicity that persists within him. As an avid nature lover, many of his paintings have birds and mammals as central objects. Additionally, various natural objects are spread out on the canvas as metaphors implicating the freedom that the artist desires and cherishes.
