About the Item

Charming animal painting in late 19th century style frame, the horse in the stall leans its head down to touch noses with a dog, as two dogs look on. Nice barn scene! Makes you smile! Dating the painting is difficult, but the style and canvas age suggests 1930s to 1960s or mid 20th century. The frame may be a replica of an earlier style. The gilt lining may suggest an earlier date. Appears to be in very good order. The painting itself is 7” wide by 9” high, set in the wide abd deep frame. The frame shows wear but no losses. The painting is firm in the solid frame. There is a wire in back making the painting ready to hang!
