About the Item

Two white and tan hunting dogs, contemporary 20th century work, painted in older period style, presented on canvas with oil paint attached to board in a wooden mahogany toned frame. This is a painting done as a decorative piece for the traditional masters of furniture and interior design, Maitland Smith. The original paintings were part of a collection for interior designers. Still beautifully painted, with beautiful framing perfect for interior designs celebrating man’s favorite and most loyal pets. The dogs are lying on a wooden table before a stone wall and olden wooden door. One dog faces forward and the other is in profile. The palette complements many interiors. Still a good designer choice, priced to sell! Large ‘sofa-sized’ painting 32’ by 39’ in overall good condition. Ready for a new home in the 21st century!
