If ever there was a heart-tugger—assuming you’re a dog person if you’re reading these details—the duo in this picture hits the mark. The unknown artist, inspired by noted painter of animals Thomas Dalton Beaumont, managed to capture these Russell Terrier puppies when they were a few months old and right out of their sleeping basket. They wouldn’t have been exactly perfect sitters, but so worth the effort. One can’t argue with the American Kennel Club’s description of the breed, “the jaunty Russell Terrier was developed by England's "Sporting Parson" for use in foxhunts. The adorable Russell Terrier looks like a plush toy come to life.” Need we say more?
