Willem Sternberg De Beer (South African, b.1941) was born in the Western Transvaal, South Africa, Willem de Beer studied at the University of Pretoria before devoting himself entirely to painting. In 1985, in order to find a wider audience for his work, he moved to England. His work is represented in the collections of H.R.H. has held many one-man exhibitions, including one in New York at the Sportsman's Edge Gallery. He is a member of the prestigious Society of Animal Artists
