Iris Garden is a painting made by Evelyne Ballestra, a French contemporary artist. The flower series is reminiscent of the Fauvist movement, using highly intense color patterns that correspond with this artist own exuberant nature. Her juxtaposition of colors and large canvas allude to a certain freedom that is seen with the Post-Impressionist approaches of Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh and Henri Matisse.
Ballestra expresses a unique movement in each painting with a very subtle sensuality and a juxtaposition of colors to reveal light and shadows, creating a synergy between the piece and the viewer.
