About the Item

The paintings of Aleix Font (Sabadell, Spain, 1984) function as a narrative between the collective and the individual world, exploring space and its interactions with concepts such as inequality, emptiness, borders, balance, misalignment, or periphery. Details: Title: Goya Disorders Medium: Acrylic and Spray Painting on Papyrus Paper Size: 70x140 cm (28 x 55.2 inches). Each paper measures 70x70 cm (28x28 inches). Year: 2024 Artist: Aleix Font * Frame is for illustrative purposes only. * Artwork shipped carefully rolled and packaged in a tube. *Certificate of Authenticity provided. Font’s artistic focus has two main habitats: in the studio, where he explores with a number of mediums to create small and medium-sized paintings, and in the public sphere, where his social work in peripheral neighborhoods becomes a collaboration between him and his students to make large-scale murals and installations for the community. As a starting point in the creative process, Aleix is interested in the grid, as a symbol and symptom of order. From here, he pictorially explores the relationship between images and narratives using aesthetic tools such as transparencies, multiple focal points, and textures to create compositions that bounce between the minimal and the complex. Conceptually, his paintings reflect on the order of things, inviting the viewer to make decisions about what they are seeing.
