Anna Maria Vargiu can be called a great talent with her just 30 years.
This paintings she made together with four other large canvasses. Together they tell stories about growing up, living together in a family. This is painted after life, the models and the still life were build in her studio and sat there while she was drawing and painting her layers wet in wet.
The artist lived in Sardinia with her parents until she was 11 years old. Anna Maria Vargiu herself about this: ,, I lived in a very fairytale environment when I was a kid. We hiked in the mountains, climbed trees, took special branches home and in the spring we picked flowers outside. "" It is presumably there that her love arose for colorful subjects such as flowers, fruits and sunny landscapes. This love for color and light is immediately visible in her work. Her method is also striking. Vargiu works "alla prima": wet in wet.
After three years of Classical Academy in Groningen, she stopped her studies to further develop her method and inspiration. Inspired by old masters such as Joachim Sorolla and John Singer Sargent, this development took a big step in her own studio. "Some artists work in layers, start with an underpainting in one color and build up precisely and precisely," Vargiu says. ,, I work differently, I don't have enough patience to work that way. The biggest challenge for me is to be as efficient as possible with the brush strokes, so that it stays spontaneous. "

The painting will be shipped without frame in a tube for free. If you would like the painting framed in a crate, that's possible. In Holland/ parts of Germany and Belgium also for free. Worldwide, the painting framed will be shipped in a custom made wooden crate, shipping has to be paid by the customer. ( See last picture of crate )
