A beautiful mid 20th century post-impressionist oil on panel depicting a tennis match in the park with a smartly dressed lady in the foreground, by Anne de Saeger.
Superb quality and condition work by this popular Belgian artist - a wonderful subject and a leading example of her work. Signed lower right.

Anne de Saeger is a Belgian painter known for nostalgic Belle Époque scenes in expert impressionist and pointillist styles. She studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts Prilidiano Pueyrredon in Buenos Aires and with Torres Garcia in Montevideo.
She moved to Brusssels and then to Paris. Since the 1970s, her work has been exhibited in numerous solo exhibitions in Argentina, France, Belgium and Spain.
