Beautiful original Folk Art painting by American artist, Arthur Glazier (1928-2015).
Oil on canvas, measuring 14 x 18 inches.
Signed lower bottom.
Arthur was born May 29, 1928, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Arthur was a Graphic Artist for the Corps of Engineers in Washington, DC, where he designed their shield logo that is in use today. He retired to his beloved Pennsylvania, where he painted prolifically for 35 years.
He became famous for his folk art paintings of Santa, animals, country landscapes, nautical seascapes, boats, farm life and portraits of days gone bye. He also painted on many different surfaces creating folk art sculptures. Including, sleds, chests, chairs and kitchen boards and buckets. He loved to paint on most any wood surfaces. He passed away July 1. 2015 at his home in Pennsylvania.
