About the Item

Pioneering Female Illustrator Barbara Briggs Bradley was an in-demand illustrator in the 1950s. Merrill Publishers of their famous children's books hired Barbara Briggs Bradley to do various work for them. "B is for Betsy" is one such work "Paper Dolls" is consummately rendered and designed. This work was for the front cover. Briggs Bradley also did interior illustrations, and we have them as well. The work is unsigned but is credited on verso. Unframed and in very good condition.
