Carol Moreno Lara is a self-taught painter born in Barcelona.
Her proposal: to embellish unique and personal spaces through artistic painting.
A determined woman who honors her personal development, she is noble, brave, and committed. She has loved painting since childhood, when she discovered her passion for it. In 2005 she created her own studio, Carol Moreno, and since then has collaborated with corporations such as Revlon Group (The Colomer Group), Moët
Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, ColaCao, and several luxury hotel chains.
She has also worked with interior design, architecture, and design studios, forging strong ties with prestigious names such as Lázaro Rosa-Violán, Jaime Beriestain, the decorative textiles company Gastón y Daniela, and Ernest Gonzales (BGB Idea), among other outstanding professionals.
Between 2010 and 2017, the artist worked with her brushes in most of the rooms of the Hotel Palace Barcelona 5* GL (formerly the Ritz, Barcelona).
“Since I was a small child, I have always felt the need to paint. I was fascinated by the minute details: the bark of a tree, the clouds, a few stones—all of which built an introspective world that transmits everything. I see through a pencil and a paintbrush, whether on paper or fabric, and these visions end up on walls and ceilings.”
In her artwork, she seeks to reflect sensitivity, beauty, peace, balance, and harmony, while provoking emotions that we should all be conscious of. Nature is often her main source of inspiration, a model for both figurative and abstract art.
She believes that art must always transmit and provoke a sensation. For her, it is important to reflect positive emotions. She insists this is not even a choice, but a natural tendency toward balance and optimism.
During her creative process, she documents her goals, conducts research, and translates her findings into her paintings. She enjoys working with oils, acrylics, and patinas, while experimenting with materials to create diverse textures.
When she reproduces images in her mind, a certain type of magic takes place. To capture that vision—whether figurative or abstract—and turn it into reality is her mission, ensuring that the spectator feels the same emotion she experiences.
She has been influenced by many styles and artists. She admires Japanese painting, particularly the work of Hasegawa Tōhaku, and also finds inspiration in Bob Hunt. Among her favorite painters are Velázquez, Alma-Tadema, and Fortuny.
The transition to wall murals came as a natural evolution, allowing her to extend her artistic vision onto larger surfaces for private homes, businesses, and hotels—places where her art and its message fit seamlessly.

Many times I find them in nature, which is a great model for both figurative and abstract art. They say that Art has to transmit a sensation and provoke you no matter what. Personally, I prefer to reflect a positive feeling, and, furthermore, I would go as far as to say that it is not even a choice; the balance tends to lean in this direction. During the creative process, I document all of my goals.I do my research and then express what I’ve learned through my artwork. I love using oils, acrylics and working with patinas while researching with materials to create various textures. When I reproduce images in my mind, a certain type of magic takes place due to this connection. Being able to reflect the idea of this beautiful vision, be it figurative or abstract, and turn it into reality is my mission. Consequently, I can ensure that the spectator is able to feel the same emotion as me. I have been influenced by many styles and artists: I love Japanese paintings, which have so many artists to choose from. My personal favorites are Hasegawa Tohaku, and Bob Hunt, who is a little bit closer to me. Some of my favorite painters are Velázquez, Alma Tadema and Fortuny. The jump to wall murals formed part of a natural evolution that took place by continuing to represent this beauty on a larger surface for private homes, businesses and hotels, where my artwork and its message fit perfectly.
