ABOUT THE ARTIST
Celia Herranz (Celia Herr) was born in Segovia, Spain.
She has a Degree in Fine Arts with a postgraduate focus in Advertising Drawing .
With over twenty years of experience as both exhibiting artist and instructor, she has taught drawing and painting in art academies, schools, and also given private lessons to children and adults .
Her last solo exhibition at Palacio Quintanar in Segovia (Spain) held from November 29, 2024, to February 23, 2025. showcased her work in three formats: heavily textured oil painting, black-and-white ink washes and drawings, and recycled glass sculpture.
Her works feature deep colors and expressive brushwork to translate observed reality into sculpted painting .
Using Indian ink on delicate paper, she creates two-dimensional works with graphic lines referred to as “skeletons of memory” .
In her sculptures, she repurposes glass vessels—such as cups and perfume bottles—into totemic forms that juxtapose fragility and interior weight, engaging viewers in a reflective dialogue .
About the Artist Celia Herranz (Celia Herr) was born in Segovia, Spain. She holds a degree in Fine Arts with a postgraduate focus in Advertising Drawing. With more than twenty years of experience, she combines her artistic practice with teaching drawing and painting in academies, schools, and private lessons for both children and adults.
