Israel-born, France-based artist, David Azuz is figurative painter, with a rich, colorful style.
This depicts a wine bar in Paris. with patrons sipping glass of wine at the bar. Perfect for a wine cellar or vineyard.
His paintings are masterfully drawn and full of curiosity for the simple details of life. Azuz's subjects, in bistros and markets, whether in Rome, Paris or Tel Aviv, often express the solitude of the individual. These individuals are symbolic of the universal citizen and are deeply moving in their pathos and search for themselves.
He usually works late at night in Paris cafes in search of those characteristic attitudes of the bartenders and patrons, which tend to blossom at this time of the evening, for instance, young couples in love, hiding their romance in the corner or old ladies getting a little warmth from the anisette they sip slowly to make time go a long way. In today´s world, it is comforting to meet an artist who has not indulged in fashion by abstracting the patterns of life, but. on the contrary, has used his knowledge of classical drawing and, above all, his passionate temperament to communicate to us the simple gestures of life which most have forgotten to do.
He showed at Yad Labanim Museum, Petach Tikva with Naftali Bezem, Nachum Gutman, Moshe Gat, Shraga Weil, Lea Nikel, Ruth Schloss, Yosl Bergner, Anna Ticho, and Menashe Kadishman.

Natan Heber was trained by his father in Poland to be a ritual slaughterer. In 1925, he joined the Zionist movement "Mizrachi" and in 1936 immigrated to Palestine where he opened a poultry shop in Haifa. He began to paint at the age of sixty-one, after ill health forced him to retire. Driven by a need to memorialize his family and their shtetl community lost in the Holocaust, he drew scenes of traditional Jewish life. Unfamiliar with the conventions of scale and perspective, he set his heavily outlined frontal figures on steeply rising surfaces and often portrayed his father in monumental size to mark his importance. One of Israel's greatest naive-style painters. Along with Shalom of Safed, Kopel Gurwin and Gabriel Cohen, He is renowned as one of Israel's greatest living naive-style folk art painters, The Haifa Museum of Art will be opening the first ever Outsider Art exhibition (also known as Art Brut) in Israel in January 2013.
