L' artista bresciano Eliodoro Coccoli "non fu per vocazione pittore di cavalletto", ma si affermò soprattutto come decoratore di interni e di esterni, realizzando affreschi profani per diverse ville lombarde e a soggetto sacro per numerose chiese.
Pochissime sono le sue tele e prevalentemente antecedenti il 1922, anno in cui si ampliò molto la sua produzione decorativa, ma restano di lui numerosi bozzetti e diverse tele preparatorie per affreschi.
Forse anche questa scena di vendemmia rientra in questo tipo di produzione, benchè sia definita e dettagliata nei particolari.
Lo stile del Coccoli non è riconducibile a nessuna corrente particolare, anzi è considerato un esperto di eclettismo: sceglie di volta in volta il repertorio figurativo più adatto alle esigenze del committente, adegua lo stile a seconda del soggetto e delle caratteristiche architettoniche del luogo.
Peraltro denota una perizia tecnica raffinata, talvolta virtuosistica.
