Born 16 May 1866 and died on 5 August 1947 in Paris.
French painter of typical French Scenes and landscapes.
He was a pupil of William Bouguereau, Emile Dameron and Georges Callot, he worked with the artist Gustave Moreau. He exhibited at the Colonial Exposition of 1906 with the School of French Artists and in 1923 he received a medal from the School and was later awarded a Legion d’Honneur.
He painted many landscapes in the Alsace region of France, and also painted a bedroom for the King of Egypt at the Palace of Abdine. He later became a war painter for the French Army.
He had works in the museums of Dijon, Paris and San Francisco, USA
His works have mostly been auctioned in France
