About the Item
Precipitate XXVII is an original painting by Henry Walsh. My work begins with snapshots of busy city life and by a process of elimination I refocus the image on elements that encapsulate a sober thoughtfulness.

Henry Walsh was born 1978 in Norwich, England and spent his childhood in the Suffolk countryside. Henry studied art at Ipswich College in Suffolk, and then Loughborough University in Leicestershire. In 2000 he moved to London to find work that would further his art career and help to maintain his painting. In Spring 2011 Henry and his family moved from London to the High Peak in Derbyshire. Henry is now a freelance artist
designer concentrating more time to his painting. Artist and painter Henry Walsh comments “My work begins with snapshots of busy city life and by a process of elimination I refocus the image on elements that encapsulate a sober thoughtfulness.” “Scattered throughout the hustle and bustle of concrete life, like pools among the rocks, are the parks and squares that provide us with a place to breathe and a time to think. It is a fundamental need of a sane society to be able to stop once in a while and wander from the routine, lift our heads and look at the sky or take in our regular surroundings with a fresh insight.” “Sitting on the top deck of a London bus, I let my mind stroll over the lives of the people on the street, they obtain new life stories; I’m placing myself in their shoes and forming a reason for my being in that place at that time, doing whatever they’re doing.

I have always been a bit obsessed with horizons and how a horizontal line on a painting becomes 'landscape' in the viewers mind. I love the idea of suggesting a landscape, but then abstracting the subject and using the materials in such a way that the texture and details made by the paint, and the grain of the wood panel, are as important if not more so than the subject itself." Rebecca enjoys balancing on the fine line between abstraction and representation, to imply a landscape with paint rather than accurately visually recording it. Her landscapes are somehow subliminal. Somehow ‘other’. Somewhere not quite real. An idea or a memory of a landscape. She aims to create an emotionally charged atmosphere with colour and texture and line, working with paint for paint’s sake.

Inspired by the northern coast of Cornwall and in particular Polzeath, Surfing through Rainclouds reflects the beautiful colours of an rainy cornish seascape. The use of oil paint allows the layers to convey a sense of movement and depth whilst the aerial perspective creates an usual abstract composition.
Endlessly enthralled by the Atlantic ocean, Lenny Cornforth...

Rainy - Mitzy Renooy, 21st Century Contemporary Oil Painting of a Woman in Rain
By Mitzy Renooy
Located in Nuenen, Noord Brabant
The artist Mitzy Renooy in this painting shows skating people in a landscape with ice and small traces of snow, trees, heather and leaves. The focus is on the skating children in this painting, they really seem to move. This painting makes an impression due to the simplicity of the brushstrokes and the narrative that is told by artist Mitzy Renooy. The depth she creates with the use of color and composition is beautiful arranged. Mitzy Renooy finds her inspiration, people in their environment, movement and the ryhthm of life, Cuba, traveling. The loose painting style of Renooy developed during the last two years of her study at Academy of Classical Arts in Groningen under the guidance of her mentor Sam Drukker. From a rigidly working potrait painter Mitzy has become an artist with whom a fluid brush stroke, rhythm and dynamism tell a story.
She graduated in Juni 2017, in a very short while she became very populair. Her paintings are already sold in Finland, Belgium, France, Great Britain and of course in Holland. Her series of girls and boys playing with or in water, her series of Cuba and Colombia and now her new serie of winters in Holland...
