About the Item

‘Retrospection’ is a poignant and introspective piece that invites viewers to step into the world of memories, emotions, and past experiences. The title, aptly chosen, suggests a looking back, a reflection on moments that have shaped and defined. The painting’s colours, rich and bold, evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing. Each brush strokes whisper stories of the past, of laughter, tears, triumph, and heartbreak. ‘Retrospection’ is a window into my soul. I had a vital accident, and my right hand was fractured. I could not paint for some time; over time, I reflected on this incident that could have made me lose my hand and therefore end my art career. But the hand healed over time, and I returned to my painting; for me, it is a sober reflection; I am grateful to God.
