About the Item

The horse embodies strength, grace, and freedom. Its movement is like a whirlwind of energy - a breath of wind carrying us forward toward dreams, light, and the golden treasure within. This painting speaks about the journey, inner power, and the pursuit of one’s true self. This artwork belongs to the series “Horses – a special Love.” Since childhood, I have been fascinated by horses—collecting stamps, postcards, and stories about them, and sketching their forms. I used to ask to visit racetracks and stables just to see them up close, to touch them, to feel their strength and majesty. For me, horses represent the spirit of freedom, beauty, and connection with nature — an energy I strive to capture through my art. To this day, I pause whenever I see a horse and follow it with my eyes — greedily absorbing every detail: the movement of muscles, the sound of snorting, the rhythm of hooves. I keep these sensations within me, later weaving them into my art. Because horses are a special kind of love! To my darling for memory - a horse on a turquoise blue background
By Daria Kotlyarova
Located in Fort Lee, NJ
This painting is made on the wooden block showing a horse that symbolizing the memory that can go to anyone with deep thoughts and love. It can be placed either on wall or any other place including shelf. In the modern world, the artist is a peculiar explorer of the time that he lives In. The “main character” of this world is a man whose gaze is turned inward. This view projects its existential reality, where the figurative language of painting is a method of transmitting abstract images of the experiences of the main characters and the time in which they exist on an equal footing with the viewer. Pictures of Daria Kotlyarova have no plot, at first glance, they have no action, but there is a moment. The moment before the second “before” ... and the viewer stops and freezes in tension, this is almost a psychological “cinema reception” that refers us to David Hockney’s paintings...

With eight huge hops I vaulted a vast desert of sand dunes, hot sand blew in my eyes, blocked my nostrils and burnt my hooves. With nine large leaps I scaled a stone wall that stretched to the skies, the cold grey lumps seemed to penetrate my heart with their silent indifference. I had come to dance before the Queen who had heard rumours of my beauty. I knelt before her in the great long throne room. 'Your majesty,' I said, 'I will dance for you but you must know that this comes with a price. How great the price will be I cannot tell, it will depend on your deepest heart.' 'Dance,' she commanded, 'I care not for such things. There is no price, I am the Queen.' So I tapped my hooves and jiggled my legs, I tossed my mane and I shook my head. I danced and I danced. My body shimmered and shone, radiant in the light of the chandeliers. As I danced a rumble began, it got louder and louder as the walls of the castle crumbled and fell around me. I carried on dancing until nothing was left and the Queen was nowhere to be seen. I assumed she was crushed under the rocks, but I had given her fair warning...
